V V Rocks

"Parimaanam" means "phase" in Tamil. That's what Kamal Haasan' latest slick flick Vettaiyadu Vilayadu has done - create a new phase in Tamil cinema. A film with a production value that can give the best of Hollywood films a run for their money. Every artist and technican working in the film have tried to outbeat everyone else to shine bright. But Kamal has outshone in his stunnning performance as DCP Raghavan with his "Raghavan instinct".

Probably, this is the first time that we can say that its not just a Kamal's film, it's a Goutham Menon film too. And his stamp is clearly visible in the subtle but well-crafted portrayal of Kamal-Jyothika relationship (the way he had portrayed "Anbuselvan-Maya" affair in Kaakha Kaakha).

VV truly rocks. And thankfully even the BO seems to agree with that. Now, I am keenly waiting for Thalaivar's next film "Dasavatharam".
