Gautham Menon fails to strike back?

If it were a big disappointment for me, wonder how it would have been for Sarat Kumar's fans? Probably Gautham Menon should stick to racy cop & commando thrillers. That's his forte.

Pachai Kili Muthu Charam (PKMC) has an interesting story that has been stretched beyond a tolerable limit. The first half is very slow moving. In my opinion, only the first section of the second half was riveting. Rest of the movie was a slowcoach and killjoy.

Sarat just does no fit into the soft and scared husband role. He looks truly himself only when he fights back. Sorry Sarat, you are caught in your own web of "image". Andrea is pleasing o the eye. I have actually seen her on stage. But somehow her face looks expresionless (atleast that's what I felt), something very suprising for a theatre performer. Except for the last scene, Jyothika looks convincing all throughout.

Gautham. this is just an aberration. I am eagerly waiting to watch Vararanam Aayiram next month. Its supposed to be a commando and hostage drama in Afganistan with Suriya as the hero. That's like eating ice cream to Gautham. Am waiting for Day 1.

Welcome back Tiger

The tiger is back in the Den. With Shiv Sena romping home to victory in the local body polls, Hindutva will be back in full form. And I just hope "Mumbai is only for Maharashtrians" gains momentum. That city is getting worse with every passing day, thanks to the non-Marathi populace. At a recent event which I attended, when the Dabbawalas President Raghunath Medge was presenting, he started and ended his presentation with a "Jai Maharashtra". I guess the cultural bondage should strengthen in all the states. Bangalore is heading for the gutter only because of the non-Kannadiga population and the minority Kannadiga population not able to keep their decibel levels high. Just hope Tamil Nadu retains its culture. It will.
